Though I must disagree with the “giving up” part, I sure am glad to have science support the reality!
You see smoking is like a mind terrorist – it hijacks your unconscious associations you have to all the good things in your life.
Since one cigarette takes such a short time to smoke it will easily force itself into many occasions in your day to day life. It essentially attaches itself to all the good things in your life and makes you think it’s the cigarette that’s giving you the relaxation, the fun time with friends, the little time off from work and stress.
So while it actually takes away from you it makes you think that it’s giving you the things you’d have anyway – talk about a high-way robbery!
This is what makes hypnosis so effective. Because hypnosis naturally works directly with your unconscious mind, that’s why it works directly with those associations cigarettes hijacked and gives you back the control over your life rapidly.
This often causes people to completely forget to have any sort of withdrawals and you end up being free of any loss easily.
That’s why the term “giving up” smoking makes only sense if you’re not using hypnosis.
